Hamad International Airport (HIA) is thrilled to announce an exciting collaboration with Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA) to redesign its new customer-facing staff uniforms.
A ‘Call for Designers’ launched online on 11th May 2022, inviting Qatar-based fashion designers to participate in the competition, by re-envisioning HIA’s new uniform design and submitting their entries. As the airport expands its facilities and services, in the form of its exciting airport expansion project, it expects the new uniform design to reflect the organization’s true vibrant spirit and commitment in offering an exceptional passenger experience.
The winning designer will have a lifetime opportunity to build a legacy with The World’s Best Airport and showcase their creation to millions of travellers who visit HIA annually.

HIA’s expansion will enhance the multi-dimensional offerings of the five-star airport by integrating a world-class art collection and refreshing environment of lush greenery with contemporary retail and dining concepts among other leisure attractions and facilities under one expansive terminal. The airport will be welcoming world-renowned fashion retailers from around the world, with awe-inspiring and creative digital displays at its stores, offering truly unique and exclusive experiences for shoppers. Inspiring positive emotions and taking the stress out of travel, HIA’s expansion will introduce a 10,000 sqm indoor tropical garden and 268-sqm water feature, which serves as the central anchor of the expansion, creating a focal point for all travellers.
