As part of its continues social responsibility initiatives, Qatar’s iconic hotel Marriott Marquis City Center Doha hosted “Fight Against Breast Cancer” event in partnership with Qatar Cancer Society to raise awareness and fund for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The monthly health campaign aims at constructing awareness about the disease, raising funds for Qatar Cancer Society, and enforcing the importance of early detection.

Hosted in the lobby of the hotel, the event was held in the presence of Qatar Cancer Society representatives, a breast cancer survivor, media and hotel guests. The occasion commenced with an informative Breast Cancer speech by Qatar Cancer Society. The panel highlight was for women to learn more about their risk of breast cancer as well as ways to prevent, screen and treat this disease. The breast cancer survivor guest shared her journey – one filled with faith, hope, determination and gratitude for the support she received from Qatar Cancer Society.

To mark this special occasion, the hotel is not only offering ‘’Think Pink Items’’ at Quick Bites and ‘’Pink Fika Time” at West End Cafe throughout October, but it has committed to donate 10% of the proceeds from the sale of ‘’Pink Concept’’ for Qatar Cancer Society.

“We are delighted and proud to partner with Qatar Cancer Society for the fourth consecutive year to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness,” said Rick Enders, Multi-Property General Manager at Marriott Marquis City Center Doha Hotel. “With this campaign, we aim to increase awareness of breast cancer and raise funds for research and honour those who have fought against it.
