Doha Beach Clean Project Coordinator: Helen Gauden-Ing hosted Fuwairit Beach Clean Up

on November 6, 2015 in partnership with Coca Cola Qatar.

Coca Cola Qatar supplied trash bags, disposable gloves, assorted bags and refreshments for the volunteers.

Around 50 volunteers involved in the clean up and collected over 50kg of garbage from the beach.

The beach side waste is composed of plastic bottles, plastic containers, fishing nets, iron, toys and more.

The participants wish to raise awareness of the problem of debris on beaches, which is recognized as a serious global problem.
