The Holy Quran Competition, organized by the Department of Dawa and Religious Guidance at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf), will kick off on Wednesday and 295 students will participate in the centers of Holy Quran teachings in the regions of the country between citizens and residents.
The competition lasts for five days at the Holy Quran and Sciences Department in Al Sadd, where tests will be conducted through six jury committees of Quranic teachers.
The competition aims to encourage students of the Holy Quran teaching centers to memorize the Holy Quran and to foster the spirit of competition between students and staff in the Quranic centers, in order to obtain the highest grades in memorization and proficiency, and honor students from the Holy Quran memorizers materially and morally.
The competition includes four sections in memorizing the categories of the Holy Quran: 10 parts, 15 parts, 20 parts, 25 parts.
