Starting from 20 April 2016, Vodafone will introduce Smart Data Rate, a smarter way to pay for data usage consumed outside customers’ Prepaid and Postpaid data allowance.

A Vodafone Postpaid customer with Smart Data Rate will automatically get 200MB for only QR20 once they have finished their plan or internet pack data allowance. Once their first 200MB is used the customer simply gets another 200MB bundle for QR20. The extra data is valid until the end of a customer’s billing cycle. This service means that smart spending Vodafone customers can keep using data all month and save up to 90% in comparison to the standard data rate of 99 Dhs/MB.

On Vodafone Prepaid, Smart Data Rate gives customers 150MB valid until midnight of that day for only QR3. Once a prepaid customer has used their first 150MB they will get another 150MB and be charged another QR3. Customers will only be charged if they use data on a particular day. Once Smart Data Rate is activated for a prepaid customer they can use any other Vodafone Prepaid Internet Pack. When that pack is consumed their Smart Data Rate will automatically apply. Smart spending prepaid customers can save up to 98% in comparison to the standard data rate of 99 Dhs/MB.

Subscribing to Smart Data Rate is free and there are no monthly charges. To get Smart Data Rate, existing customers need to choose <<Smart Data Rate>> from the USSD Menu by dialling *100# Alternatively Postpaid customers could just dial *110*111# while Prepaid customers can dial *200*111#. New customers can activate the service upon sign-up in store. Smart Data Rate will send notifications about usage so customers always stay in complete control of their spending.

Smart Data Rate is not available on Red Qatari, Red XL, Red VIP and London Edition as these plans already include a preferential out of bundle rate. For more information on Smart Data Rate visit www.vodafone.qa.
