The Hotel picked up the Chairman’s Choice Award along with being declared the Luxury Hotel Continent Winner for the Middle East, with both awards serving as recognition of sustained commitment to excellence in hoteliering and outstanding achievement in the international luxury hospitality industry.

In addition, The St. Regis Doha was honoured to have hosted this year’s edition of the World Luxury Hotel Awards, complete with a breath-taking gala ceremony with more than 400 hoteliers from 50 countries all in attendance. The Awards, now in their 10^th year, were a celebration of legendary proportions with this being a unique opportunity to savour and celebrate distinguished achievements throughout 2016 with fellow industry peers.

The leading musicians included acclaimed soul vocalist, Gregory Generet, who was joined by Richard D. Johnson, famed pianist and the Artistic Director at The St. Regis Doha. Meanwhile, on the drums was Darrian Douglass, a Mississippi native who has fashioned a successful music career with various jazz groups throughout New Orleans and New York City. Rounding out the impressive lineup of seasoned musicians was tenor saxophonist and proven performer, Jonathan Beshay and bassist, Nori Naraoka.
