Following an extensive renovation and planting program, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha, winner of Best Hotel in the Middle East at the highly coveted Condé Nast Readers’ Choice Awards 2023, is delighted to announce that a new stretch of private sandy beach has been opened, elevating the resort’s offering to new heights.

The team at the hotel are renowned for always seeking ways to enrich the array of recreational facilities, ensuring that this treasured landmark upholds its remarkable legacy and beyond. With this in mind, a largescale landscaping project has been undertaken to complement this prime beach setting with an environment that is rich in nature

An extensive schedule of replanting has seen 2,786 trees and plants added to the existing landscape, including 30 impressive Phoenix Palms and 100 trumpet flowering Tecoma Stans. The beachside development has been overseen by Sabar Simbolon and his team, who have carefully chosen and planted a wide variety of vibrant flora species to encourage bees and other wildlife to proliferate.

As well as the planting, the new beach has been furnished with private cabanas, providing shade and comfort with picturesque views across the Arabian Gulf. Dressed with privacy drapes and raised on hardwood decking, each is furnished with an adjustable oversized sunbed. While guests enjoy peak relaxation, the team are on hand to provide light bites and refreshments throughout the day.

Mindful of the eco system and the wellbeing of the sea, a specialist procedure has been carried out to clean the seabed and encourage the ongoing conservation of the thriving wildlife, pristine shorelines and natural waterways, supporting their continued health. With the evolution of the new beach, we are able to add another level of outdoor sophistication and relaxation, while supporting the natural environment.”
