In a significant development for Qatar's cultural tourism sector, Qatar Museums is thrilled to announce that it is now an affiliate member of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This historic affiliation has been formally introduced during the 25^th session of the UNWTO General Assembly, that took place in Uzbekistan on the 19^th of October.

Mr. Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi, Acting CEO of Qatar Museums, said,

“We are proud to announce Qatar Museums’ membership in the UNWTO as we consider it a testament of our contribution to sustainable and responsible tourism. This membership reflects our commitment to utilize the tourism scene from a culturally enriching perspective through museum development and cultural heritage activation.
