Alcoholic products and pork can be accessed through Qatar Distribution Company (QDC) by those with special licenses or permits. QDC permit application can be done on site or conveniently online.
In this guide, the ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has put together a step-by-step guide to the online application process for the QDC permit.

1. Log on to QDC website on www.qdc.com.qa.
2. Click on ‘Sign up & Register Profile'.
3. Fill in the online form and details.
4. Fill in the blue plate address.
5. Additional directions (optional).
6. Input the Captcha code.
7. Tick the agreement and acknowledgement statement.
8. Click 'Confirm Register'.
9. Log in with your newly registered details.
10. Once logged in, click on 'Online application for new permit'.
11. Input your QID expiry date.
12. Select the permit validity from 12, 15, and 17 months. Permit fees start at QR 150 for 12 months, QR 175 for 15 months, and QR 192 for 17 months.
13. Upload images of QID front side and backside separately.
14. Upload document of Sponsor Letter/NOC stating the following:
15. Tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions.
16. Click 'Continue'.
17. Await QDC's response (approximately 3 working days). If the application is successful, QDC will send a payment notification to complete the application.
