People love FREE stuff. Just seeing the word "FREE" triggers a response in our brain. And while there is a lot of free stuff in Qatar, in this post we'll be talking about Buy One Get One FREE subscription offers!

If you've been living here in Qatar for a while now and love to eat out, then you've probably heard of at least one of these companies providing 2-for-1 offers. You might even be subscribed to one of them right now. Why not, right? They help save money! And in 2020, there are more companies now offering the same service. Entertainer App

Available across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, The Entertainer provides Buy One Get One Free and discount offers for restaurants, spas, attractions, activities, salons, sports, fitness venues and more.

How it works: You buy an item then get another of equal or lesser value free. Up to 4 Offers can be redeemed at one time for a group of 8 people or more. Internet connection is required to redeem offers.

Vodafone ENTERTAINER Application is available Free for the following plans - Red Me, Red Unlimited and Red VIP customers (“Eligible Plans”).

Pros:

  • Valid 7 days a week all year long.
  • Applicable not just for dining but also for beauty salons, health & fitness, and leisure activities.
  • Has a feature (PING) that lets users send offers to family and friends that have the App.
  • Now offers Online delivery where users can get 25% off or 2-for-1 offers through the Delivery button on the app. Users can order, pay, and track their delivery all through the app.
  • Has a virtual currency system (SMILES) that works like a rewards or loyalty program which users can use to Buyback offers or buy extra pings.
  • Entertainer Travel - App can also be used for getaways.

Cons:

  • Public Holidays not included.
  • Not valid in conjunction with any other discount offers, promotions, special menu items or loyalty/rewards programs.

MyBook

Like The Entertainer, MyBook is also a Buy 1 Get 1 Free incentive provider. The Qatari company was founded in 2012 and is now one of the leading providers of 2-for-1 incentives in Qatar.

How it works: The less expensive item is the one deducted from the bill. Offers can be redeemed through the app or presenting a voucher from printed MyBook. If using the app, an internet connection is required.

You can also use your Doha Bank Mastercard Debit or Credit Card to register with My Book

Pros:

  • Has a printed book option aside from the app.
  • It can be redeemed by a minimum of two people (excluding Beauty & Spas, Services, and Health & Fitness Offers). A maximum of 4 offers can be used at one time. You can use 1 offer per 2 people and a maximum of 4 offers for 8 or more guests.
  • Aside from dining, beauty & spas, it can also be used for staycations, pleasure & fitness, health & wellness, and various services.

Cons:

  • Public Holidays not included.

Urban Point

Another mobile app launched in Qatar is UrbanPoint. The company has partnered with Ooredoo, one of the telecommunications companies here in Qatar, making it easily accessible to Shahry and Qatarna (Postpaid) subscribers. The app is also available in Kuwait and Oman. Non-Ooredoo Customers can pay by credit card within the app.

How it works: The app works like the other apps, where you choose from the offers and then use it when you go to the establishment. There are offers for Food & Drink, Beauty & Health, Fun & Leisure, and Retail & Services. The app also needs an internet connection to avail the offers. Aside from Buy One Get One offer, they also have offers such as Buy 1 Main Course and get a Dessert of equal or lesser value and Spend QAR 300 and save QAR50.

Pros:

  • Free trial for 3 days.
  • All Urban Point offers renew every month, so people can use their favourites again and again instead of being locked out of vouchers for the rest of the year with some discounting businesses.
  • You can join or cancel anytime, instead of being forced to make an expensive yearlong purchase.
  • If you are an Ooredoo customer, it is either free as part of your Shahry or Qatarna plan or only QR 15/month, which you can simply pay by using your phone number.
  • The same account can be used from multiple devices.

Cons:

  • Offers are not valid in conjunction with other special promotions, discounts, specials or loyalty programs.
  • Offers are not valid on Black Out days (official holidays). It is up to the Merchant’s discretion to allow offers during these days.
