The Pearl-Qatar has completed preparations to host the second Summer Sports Tournament 2013, which begins 16th May.
Sporting activities will include beach volleyball and football tournaments as well as water related competitions covering paddling and kayak, where more than 50 participants have already registered to compete today.
Gathering place for the paddling and kayak competitions is the beach at 31 La Croisette in Porto Arabia.
A total number of 40 teams will participate in beach volleyball and football tournaments, scheduled to start May 17 and 18 for volleyball, wrapping it all up with The Pearl-Qatar beach football tournament on May 24 and 25. All tournaments will take place on the beach at 31 LA Croisette, adjacent to Tower 31 in Porto Arabia.
Members of the winning teams will receive shopping and dining vouchers respectively from United Fashion Company (UFC) and Hospitality Development Company (HDC).
A number of trophies will also be distributed.
Residents from The Pearl-Qatar, as well as interested water sports enthusiasts from the greater Doha area are expected to attend.
