The Qatar Cup, The Glorious Cup, attracts much attention because of its unique history and intense competition between the top-four teams in each season. Throughout its history, competition has played a prominent role in the development of professional football in Qatar with its high technical levels. It also helps the clubs in domestic and overseas tournaments.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

  • The top-four teams in the QNB Stars League qualify for the Qatar Cup.
  • A straight knockout competition features two semifinal matches between the first and fourth-placed teams and second and third-placed teams.
  • The winners of each semifinal progress to the final fixture.

The Qatar Stars League (QSL) announced the date of the Qatar Cup 2023, which will be held with the participation of clubs (Al Sadd – Al Duhail – Al Wakrah – Al Arabi), who finished the QNB Stars League for the last season 2021-2022 in the top four.

The semi-finals will be held on Thursday (9 February 2023) at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium in Al Sadd Club.

SEMI-FINALS: FEBRUARY 9, 2023

Location: Jassim Bin Hamad

  • Al Sadd VS Al Arabi - 4:40 pm

  • Al Duhail VS Al Wakrah : 7:45 pm

It should be noted that according to the tournament system, the first-place team in the league plays the fourth-placed team, and the second-placed team plays the third-placed team.

In the semi-finals, Al Sadd will face Al Arabi and Al Duhail will play Al Wakrah.
