Qatar's national e-football team players - Ahmed al-Megghesib and Jassim Al-Eid - will participate in the qualifiers for the International Electronic Football Championship for the Middle East and Africa (PlayStation and Xbox), which kicks off on Friday 30 April at 1 pm and will run until Sunday 2 May.
This is the first time that the Qatar Football Association (QFA) has participated in this tournament, and the national team is seeking to make a mark in the world of e-sports through these qualifiers.
The national team will play Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, India and South Africa, and the first and second-placed teams will qualify for the finals of the FIFA Electronic Football Championship from 20 - 22 August in Copenhagen.
All matches are scheduled to be broadcast live on QFA's official channels on social media platforms "YouTube" and "Facebook", to provide a distinct media platform for those interested in electronic games and fans of the national team.
