In this special edition of Gardening Basics Workshop, students will learn how to prepare the best potting mix for their plants and they will get a chance to repot a plant under the guidance of experts. They will get introduced to the basics of planting and maintaining a green area in their garden or balcony, starting with the plant requirements for light, water, air and nutrients.

The workshop takes place in the Qur’anic Botanic Garden, as part of the celebrations for Qatar Environment Day.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

1. Prepare the best potting mix for new plantations
2. Maintain your green spaces with the minimum effort and losses
3. Move your plants successfully into larger / more suitable containers
4. Identify basic enemies and deficiencies and be able to treat them in natural ways.
