The Peninsula Qatar reported: The competitions for 7th Qatar Falconry Championship ‘Isfari’ will begin today in the Aba Al Qararis area in Al Khor. Isfari, the first championship of this season is being organised by Qatari Society for Al Gannas.

Khalid bin Saeed Al Sulaiti, Head of the Qatar Falconry Championship ‘Isfari’, said that after the completion of the registration in the championship, which was very popular, the participants were distributed into groups and competition schedules were published on the social media and website of Qatari Society for Al Gannas.

Al Sulaiti said that the championship will take place today with the competitions of Al Daw Qarnas Hur and Qarnas Jeer Hur. On the second day, Al Daw Qarnas Shaheen and Al Daw Qarnas Jeer Sheehan will be held, he added.

“November 3 will be dedicated to the qualifying round for the Al Daw Farakh Hur, and on the next day November 4, the qualifying round for Al Daw Farkh Jeer Shaheen,” said Al Sulaiti.

He said that November 5, will be dedicated the qualifying round of Al Daw Farkh Jeer Hur. He said that Friday will be dedicated to the promising falconer competition, as registration will be held at the site of the championship to facilitate the promising falconers.

Al Sulaiti highlighted that in each category 10 falcons will qualify for the final competition that will be held on November 7, the last day of the championship, with a total of 70 birds qualifying from the seven categories of competitions.

He called on all participants to come to the championship site at 12 noon in order to assist the organising committee in the procedures for a successful competition
