As part of Qatar-Indonesia 2023 Year of Culture, this exhibition showcases traditional and contemporary coffee cultures in Qatar and Indonesia through interactive and sensory experiences in collaboration with the National Museum of Indonesia.
The exhibition "Growing Kopi, Drinking Qahwa" presents the history of coffee cultivation, trade, and consumption from around the world. It particularly focuses on Qatar and Indonesia's traditional and modern coffee cultures, using interactive displays, immersive projections, and various sensory experiences. A specially commissioned contemporary artwork will also be on display.
The accompanying program, "Stories of Coffee in Qatar and Indonesia" will feature public events and activities. Local coffee shops, artists, and baristas from Indonesia will be involved in these programs. Visitors can enjoy barista experiences, competitions, special tours, and partnerships with local shops.
