What are codicology and manuscript studies? Which subjects are most studied in the field? What are the latest developments in studying Islamic manuscript culture? What are the current resources and research literature?

These and many other questions about Islamic manuscript culture are at the heart of a lecture series organized jointly by the Library and the Center for Manuscript Studies at Fatih Sultan Mehmed Waqf University in Istanbul, bringing together renowned international experts in Islamic codicology and manuscript studies to hold monthly talks and address scholars and the general public alike.

Date and Timings:

  • 22 August 2022, from 6:30 pm to 8 pm

Language: Arabic, with simultaneous interpretation provided in English.
Target Audience: Researchers, students and the general public.
