Qatar National Library will organize several cultural, educational, and artistic community activities in December to celebrate Qatar National Day.
Participate in this knitting workshop at Qatar National Library. Participants will learn the simple technique of finger knitting using the colors of the Qatari flag as inspiration.
During this workshop, you'll delve into Qatari sadu, a traditional craft rooted in the Bedouin way of life. Passed down through generations, this cultural craft, primarily practiced by Qatari women, uses raw materials like sheep's wool, camel hair, and goat hair.
Family archives provide a captivating glimpse into the social history that captures the journey of families and their rich cultural legacies. This seminar aims to illuminate the Al Jaber family collection, a trove of rare books and documents that mirrors the scientific and cultural development witnessed by the people of Qatar.

The panel will be presented by Waleed Abdulwahid, Library Research Officer, Distinctive Collections, at Qatar National Library.
To mark Qatar National Day, the third episode of this series will feature Dhabia Al Sulaiti, a researcher and lecturer in linguistic documentation, heritage, Qatari culture, and the environment.
