Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) opens ‘Qatar Summer Festival’ today with unique entertainment activities at locations across the country which will run for 7weeks.

Activities at Doha Exhibiion Center is open from Sunday to Thursday (3pm to 11pm) and on Fridays and Saturdays (2pm to midnight).

Plenty of family entertainment is available at the Family Entertainment City staged in the Doha Exhibition Center, which includes activities such as ski slopes, rock climbing and a variety of alternate entertainment options, a food court, and live Arabic pre-school Baraem shows for the little ones.

Free shuttle service is provided from Q-Post office to DEC from 3pm to 10pm during weekdays and 2pm to 11pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Spectacular dancing fountain shows at Fountain Fun on the Corniche across from Al Murjan Restaurant. Illuminated by spectacular lighting projection, the fountain is formed through an array of jets that spurt water up to 50m into the air to different musical themes. A spectacle not to be missed! The shows are scheduled every evening. Seven to 10-minute shows with 30-minute intervals are presented from Sunday to Thursday from 6pm to 11pm while on Fridays and Saturdays from 7pm to midnight with 45-minute interval.

There is also ‘Adventure Fun’ in Al Khor where visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as bike riding, kayaking and other games (6 thrilling outdoor activities await you!) . Tickets can be purchased from the tent outside Al Khor Mall. These activities are held from 1pm until 6pm daily. The Adventure Fun tent is located near Al Khor Mall.

Families can enjoy ‘Splash Fun’, an inflatable Aqua Park on Wakrah beach, from 3pm to 8pm daily. Beat the heat with family and friends at the fabulous inflatable Aqua Park at Al Wakra Family Beach. The park is open to all age groups so head out with the family for a day of fun in the sun. And what’s more, you’ll get to go screaming down the largest slide in the GCC. This definitely makes for more summer fun! Shopping Fun activity from August 17 to September 13 at The Pearl Qatar, The Mall, City Center, Hyatt Plaza and Al Khor Mall where shoppers can enjoy special discounts and raffle draws offering prizes worth QR2.5m, including eight Audi cars. Capping the festival is a Disney On Ice show at Qatar National Convention Center from September 24 to 27.
