What: Qatar National Symphony Orchestra

The Qatar National Symphony Orchestra will perform tonight at the Aspire Ladies Club at 7.30pm.
The orchestra will perform music from the classical music masters. The line-up includes Richard Wagner’s Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (The Mastersingers of Nuremberg), Ludwig Van Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 and Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4.
The orchestra will be conducted by Karl-Heinz Steffens and on the piano is Rudolf Buchbinder.
“We have barbecue and tents are set up and, as we traditionally do during the Starry Night, we bring brown paper bags and candles and make sand lanterns,” said Gillespie.
“Some of us have to stay overnight to clean the site the next day. This event was jointly organised by the Qatar Natural History Group and the Doha players as a family fun event in the run-up to Christmas, Qatar style,” said Gillespie.
