Isn't it annoying when you fly into Doha at odd times, you're hungry and you have to hunt for food, but all the food places you know or have heard of are closed?

Also, a lot of us live in flats so we don't have the space to hang out with a big group of friends. And let’s be real, sometimes you just want to chill late at night, eat something and talk. Well, worry not, now you can go straight to one of the places we've listed at all odd hours if you're craving for some food.

Now, you might have already heard of some of these places. What you might not know is that they are open 24/7.

1. Le Monde Cafe

Le Monde is a tiny, cute little cafe tucked in a little corner in Bin Mahmoud. They have a selection of pastries for all of us midnight snack lovers. They also have an all day breakfast menu as well as sandwiches, pastas and salads. The prices are very economical, so you can turn this into one of your go to breakfast places.

2. Zaatar W Zeit

Did you know that their branch in Souq Waqif is open 24/7? Souq Waqif is normally very crowded. So, I would recommend you to go there around 1 am when you can actually find parking. It’s also a great option to eat at if you're watching a late night movie at Novo. They serve breakfast all day. Thus, grab yourself a Manakeesh; Cheese and Zaatar are my personal favourites.

3. Caffe Vergnano 1882

Some of the highlights of this cafe include black and white interior, attentive staff and a killer Caramello Freddo which is the perfect summer drink. I even tried recreating it at home; didn't work. Just go to the café instead. Whether you have a deadline for work or college assignment, grab your laptop and wallet, plant yourself at this café and get your work done any time of the day or night. It's a much quieter café, so it's perfect for finals prep or just reading a book on the weekends.

“What do you want to eat?” “Shawarma. You?” “I want a salad.” This is what the conversation between me and my husband sounds like every weekend. Sound familiar?

So, when you can't agree on what to eat with your friends or family, you don't need to suffer. Meesh serves a variety of food items, from sweet and savoury pastries, salads, sandwiches to wraps and shawarmas. They also have a selection of board games that you can play with your friends or family anytime you want.

    5. The Bagel Bar

If you are in a pinch and have a friend’s birthday to celebrate, but don’t know where to take her/him late at night without being asked to leave after an hour, this place is for you. Their smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel is to die for. I take zero responsibility, though, for the increase in your waistline.
