Following the updates on restrictions announced during the previous Cabinet Meeting, some malls like Tawar Mall, Lagoona Mall, City Center Mall, Mall of Qatar and Hyatt Plaza announced today on 9 January 2022 that kids under 12 are not allowed and only fully vaccinated people can enter malls. Please see below each of their statements.

    Tawar Mall

    Instructions regarding the re-imposition of some restrictions on commercial activities:

    With reference to the decision issued of the esteemed Cabinet Meeting on 5 January 2022 and within the framework of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and in the interest of the safety of all citizens and residents, the following procedures will be implemented:

    • Children under the age of 12 are allowed to enter consumer and catering complexes and hypermarkets located outside the commercial/shopping malls
    • Children under 12 years old are not allowed to enter shopping malls, even if they are accompanied by their immunized/vaccinated parents.
    • People who had recovered from coronavirus (COVID-19) are allowed to enter, and a recovery certificate is accepted instead of having the golden frame in the Ehteraz application.
    • People exempted from obtaining the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination are allowed to enter according to the exemption certificate from the Ministry of Health or Hamad Hospital.
    • Holders of diplomatic representation cards and employees of foreign embassies in the country and their families are exempted from the requirement to show a precautionary application.

      City Center Mall

      Regulations from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry:

      • Children below 12 years old are allowed hypermarkets and complexes which are outside the malls.
      • Children below 12 years old are NOT allowed to enter malls even if they are accompanied by vaccinated parents.
      • For those who recovered from COVID, they can show their recovery certificate instead of golden Ehteraz.
      • For those who are exempted from the vaccine, can show their exemption certificate from MOPH or HMC instead of Ehteraz.

      Mall of Qatar

      Dear Visitors, following the latest COVID-19 precautionary measures issued by the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management, please note that unvaccinated people and kids below 12 years old are not allowed to enter the mall. Your Safety is our priority.

      Note: The mall's earlier statement said that unvaccinated kids of all ages are not allowed.

      Hyatt Plaza

      For your safety and safe shopping, please check out the new instructions regarding the re-imposition of some restrictions on commercial activities:

      • Entry only allowed for people with Gold Frame on their Ehteraz
      • Maintain social distancing with a minimum of 2 meters from each other
      • Visitors must wear masks
      • Entry is denied to anyone recording a temperature of 38C or higher
      • Avoid placing your hands on surfaces
      • Children below 12 years are not allowed to enter

      Lagoona Mall

      Following the new COVID-19 restrictions set by the authorities, only vaccinated people showing a golden frame on Ehteraz will be eligible to enter the mall premises starting 8 January 2022.

      Landmark Mall

      • Children below 12 years old are allowed to enter hypermarkets and complexes which are outside the malls.
      • Children below 12 years are not allowed to enter malls even if they are accompanied by vaccinated parents.
      • For those who recovered from Covid, they can show their recovery certificate instead of golden Etheraz.
      • For those who are exempted from the vaccine, can show their exemption certificate from MOPH or HMC instead of Etheraz.

      Safari Mall Qatar

      Dear valued customers, children under 12 years of age are not allowed to enter any safari outlets.

      Novo Cinemas

      In compliance with Government's rules and regulations, only guests who are fully vaccinated with Ehteraz app status as VACCINATED are allowed to enter the cinemas. Kids below 12 years old are allowed in The Pearl branch and Souq Waqif branch only. Kindly follow social distancing and other safety precautions when visiting Novo Cinemas.

      Vox Cinemas Qatar

      Things may be a little different for a while, but Vox Cinema's priority is making sure they're looking out for you and otheir teams.

      Doha Festival City

      SHOP SAFELY (Updated as of 11th of January 2021)

      In compliance with the latest directives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued on 9th of January regarding the re-imposition of some restrictions on commercial activities to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), Doha Festival City mall entry regulations are updated as follows:

      • Vaccinated adults with a golden frame on their Ehteraz application can enter.
        Children below 12 years old are unfortunately not allowed to enter malls, even when accompanied by vaccinated parents.
      • Adults who recovered from (COVID-19) can enter, if they present their recovery certificate instead of golden frame in their 'Ehteraz' mobile application.
      • Adults who are exempted from the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccination can enter, if they present their exemption certificate from MOPH or HMC instead of Ehteraz mobile application.
      • Holders of diplomatic representation cards and employees of foreign embassies in the country and their families are exempted from the requirement to show their 'Ehteraz' mobile application.
