Mercury set to plunge today

A sudden drop in temperature accompanied by strong northwesterly winds from chilly regions of Europe has made the weather colder in Qatar.


Waterlogging in mall

Rains lash Qatar, ‘chances of strong winds’ today

Most parts of Qatar experienced good rainfall late in the afternoon yesterday. The showers, accompanied by thunder and lightning, were expected to continue until noon today, a senior Met official said.


More rains likely in northern areas: Met

The northern part of Qatar, especially Al Ruwais and Al Ghuwariyya, witnessed heavy downpour yesterday morning, leading to the closure of several main roads. Water-logging on the roads blocked access to some houses in the areas, reported Al Sharq.
