Yesterday, the UAE’s top telecom service companies switched their names from Du and Etisalat to ‘UAE KSA together’ in a show of solidarity for Saudi’s National Day that’s happening on Saturday, September 23, 2017.

The UAE is also having a number of celebrations, such as performances and promotions, for Saudi National Day in malls across the country.

Qatar had initially started the trend more than a month ago by changing its mobile network names to ‘Tamim AlMajd’ from Ooredoo and Vodafone. This was done to show solidarity with His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani following the blockade imposed by the GC3+1 countries (Saudi, the UAE, Bahrain, and Egypt).
