Last Saturday night, members of the press, various Embassy delegates, our valued friends and sponsors, and ILQ's fans from all walks of life convened at the posh Mondrian Hotel Doha to marvel on ILoveQatar.Net's achievements over the years and at the same time, celebrate the milestones that we've reached and friendships that lasted for 10 epic years while making content for both of Qatar's locals and expats alike.

The unpredictable weather during that day was at first a hindrance for registered guests as flood covered most of Doha's metropolitan areas but the turnout which greeted the staff and volunteers was still bigger than expected, making the venue packed with people who've been with us since ILQ's inception.

Guests started coming 6PM and networked with each other for the next half an hour before Mr. Q himself took the stage to tell everyone about the company's countless successes—starting of course with its humble beginnings.

After a short but fun video showcasing what a typical working day at QTube is like, the raving crowd was then transported to a world full of never-before-disclosed information about the community website's vision when it first launched till up to this date when it's considered one of the biggest multimedia channels in Qatar, the GCC, and beyond.

Halfway through Mr. Q's engaging speech, another infotainment video was played, this time showing how the ILQ logo evolved, how far the ILQ cap has gone, and the unbelievable reach that ILoveQatar.Net's various social media channels have attained from Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, and YouTube.

Sharing the laptop-shaped stage are QTips co-host Hamad Al Amari (The Qatari Guy), Dine Out Doha host Kim Wyatt (Mama Baba Ganoush), and Weekend Roundup host Fares Dehbi who opened the night by singing the Qatar National Anthem.

The highlight of the evening was when Mr. Q called it a night and officially opened the colorful ILQ Content Village where guests got their ILQ passports stamped by undergoing a series of fun dares and challenges in seven of our booths namely Dine Out Doha, The ILQ Test Drive, QTips, Weekend Roundup, The ILQ Newsletter, Qatar Events, and the ILQ Merch Store where people picked up their goodie bags filled with the cool surprises!

One of our friends This Is Qatar, wrote in an article: "From the food aspect all the way to the decorations and hospitality, the organization was executed flawlessly. The staff gave a warm welcome to everyone in attendance."

Besides all these, ILQ stars were as well in attendance with many of them spending the last few hours of the anniversary taking photos with their fans.

The ILQ 10th Year Anniversary celebration was made possible by our generous friends and sponsors Mondrian Doha, The Look Company, Bayt.com, The Detailer, Zomato, Q Tickets, Embrace Doha, 365 Adventures, IAC Qatar, Cosette Solutions, and Alwakalat.
