Skate Girls of Kabul Exhibition — Everyday till October 21

This exhibition tells the extraordinary story of Afghan girls who took up skateboarding, thanks to an Afghan charity that provides skate parks as a hook to get children from disadvantaged families back into the educational system.

LaLiga Festival — Sunday, Oct. 1 - Saturday, Oct. 7

ICYMI: The LaLiga Festival is a unique football and entertainment festival which is planned to take place twice a year in Doha. The festival will be a celebration of sports, food, entertainment and games, enticing people to engage with one of the most popular global football leagues, LaLiga.

The event aims to bring football and sports fans together to experience the LaLiga lifestyle. Passionate fans will be able to experience games showcasing the best football techniques and strategy, while football freestylers will be able to compete for the title of Qatar Freestyle Championship. Powder & Damask: Islamic Arms and Armour from Fadel Al Mansoori’s Collection — Sunday, Oct. 1 - Oct. 5

Get your daily dose of culture and history this week at the Museum of Islamic Art! This exhibition presents Islamic arms and armor from the private collection of Fadel Al Mansoori. Including both edged weapons and firearms, the objects on display range from 17th to the 19th century, and were produced primarily in Turkey, Iran and India. Powder and Damask explores the art of craftsmanship, which reached unprecedented levels in these regions under the Ottoman, Safavid and Mughal empires, where these objects were considered not only as weapons but also as works of art.
