The long-awaited Qatar International Derby is taking place at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club on December 29 and 30, 2017.

The event is a gateway to participation in the HH The Emir’s Sword Race in February 2018. It is also an important stop for European horses in the last Derby on the calendar of international events.

The two-day event will see a host of activities and entertainment take place for both fans and families. Entry is free for all, providing everyone with the opportunity to take part in the activities and enjoy the horses in action.

Qatar International Derby promises two days of enjoyment for attendees, many of whom have travelled from abroad. Visitors are promised to see prestigious horses, the best jockeys and leading trainers. With beautiful weather and electric atmosphere this truly is one of Qatar’s most anticipated sporting events.
