H.H. The Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is Qatar’s one of the iconic leaders and the architect of its modern revival. During H.H. Sheikh Hamad’s tenure (1995 - 2013) as the Amir of Qatar, the country made significant progress in all fields. One of the proudest moments of H.H. Sheikh Hamad’s leadership was when Qatar became the first Arab and Islamic nation to win hosting rights for the 2022 FIFA World Cup on 10 December 2010.
