When you visit somebody’s home, make sure you take your shoes off!
In traditional Qatari culture, it’s considered polite to leave one's shoes at the door as a sign of respect for the home and its inhabitants.
This practice is also followed in many other countries in the Middle East and Asia, where it is seen as a way to keep the inside of the house clean.
