Qatar has undertaken a lot of projects to prepare the country for the upcoming FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
This includes infrastructure projects such as stadiums that will be used for the tournaments, the expansion of the Hamad International Airport, and a lot of new road structures such as the 29km Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, which facilitates access to six venues of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.
All eight stadiums are close together, with the longest distance between venues just 75km (Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor to Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah). Every Qatar 2022 tournament venue will also achieve a minimum four-star Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) certification for the design, build and construction.
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) is working on establishing an advanced Expressway network in Doha and all regions in Qatar.
Watch out for more projects in the Part 2 next week!
