Khanfaroush or Khanfaroosh, also known as fried saffron and cardamom cake is a traditional Qatari dessert which is similar to a sponge cake. They are made from rice powder, flour, eggs, and baking powder. In addition to that, saffron, cardamom, and rosewater are added to create a unique flavour to please the palate.
