The Ministry of Defense announced in a tweet that the Qatari Ministry of Defense and the United States Ministry of Defense have signed a memorandum of agreement concerning the technical arrangements for the defence cooperation on the FIFA 2022 World Cup event.

Signing for the Qatari side was Brig. Khalid Mohammed Al-Nuaimi, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee for International Security & Relations, while for the US side signed Col. Timothy Drifki, Senior Defense Officer & Military Defense Attaché.

The technical arrangements aim to identify and put in order the responsibilities related to cooperation between the two sides, and the US armed forces' contribution to providing support to the FIFA 2022 World Cup event.
