The French embassy in Qatar announced in a tweet on 17 November 2022 that the two cyclists, Mehdi and Gabriel who set out from France on bicycles to get to Qatar for the World Cup have reached after a 3-month long journey.

They travelled a journey of 8000 km by bike and reached the Lusail Stadium on the morning of 17 November 2022.
Mehdi and Gabriel were welcomed by many Qatari and French friends.
