According to a report by Al Sharq News, shop owners at Souq Waqif have confirmed their readiness to receive football fans, visitors, and tourists for the World Cup.
As per the report, in order to serve guests better during the largest tournament in the world, shop owners have hired more staff and have adjusted working hours to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Aside from this, new items have been added to the menus of restaurants, the stock of inventories increased, and workers have been assigned new uniforms that will suit the festivities.
Souq Waqif is considered one of the biggest attractions in Doha and an influx of tourists is expected during the World Cup.
Speaking to Al Sharq News, Hisham Youssef, Cafe Manager at Souq Waqif, shares that the World Cup is an exceptional opportunity to showcase Qatari hospitality and encourage tourism. For this reason, several measures and preparations have been done to ensure the success of the tournament.
