The Ministry of Defense announced via a tweet on 9 November 2022 that a security inspection for chemical and radioactive materials was conducted at Al Janoub and Ahmad Bin Ali Stadiums.

The inspection was carried out by the Defence Unit against Weapons of Mass Destruction (CBRN), along with the Security Committee for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 and allied forces with the usage of the latest technologies and advanced equipment.
The drill was part of the Ministry of Defense's security preparations for the World Cup.
