Abdullah Al-Salami has arrived at the Doha Corniche on the evening of 31 October 2022 where he was welcomed by supporters and the media.

According to a report by Al Sharq News, residents and citizens walked with him from Souq Waqif to the World Cup Countdown Clock at the Doha Corniche where he was celebrated for his achievement.

Speaking to Al Sharq News, Al-Salami shared that he carried with him the message of peace and love from the Saudi people to the Qatari people on his journey. He also confirms that he walked a total of 1,600 km in the span of 55 days to reach Doha and is excited to witness the World Cup.

QNA reports that the Saudi football fan, Abdullah Al-Salami, has arrived at the Abu Samra border port to attend the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 after walking a distance of about 1,400 km from Jeddah to Qatar.

Abdullah Al-Salami began his trek from Jeddah to Doha on 9 September 2022 and plans to reach Qatar in time for the tournament. His walk is taking approximately 60 days and will cover around 1,600 km.
