Morocco win quarterfin spain round of 16 match

The first knockout match of 6 December 2022 witnessed Team Morocco play against Team Spain at the Education City Stadium at full capacity with over 44,600 spectators.

H.H. the Father Amir and H.H. Sheikha Moza were among those who attended to witness the event.

Spain's Gavi is one of the youngest players to start a knockout match at 18 years old, next to Pelé, who was only 17 years old in the 1958 final.

The match was intense, with a goalless first and second half. The two teams battled it out through a penalty shoot-out.

Morocco's Abdelhamid Sabiri, Hakim Ziyech, and Achraf Hakimi all scored penalty goals for their team, taking a 3-0 on penalties, awarding them a spot in the quarter-finals.
