Ministry arrests 3 individuals reselling world cup tickets outside official outlets

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) announced the arrest of 3 individuals of different nationalities for reselling FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ™ tickets outside the official outlets approved by FIFA and the State of Qatar.

This is in violation of Article No. (19) of Law No. (10) of 2021 which indicates that FIFA has the sole and exclusive right to issue, sell, distribute and sell tickets, and may not issue, sell, resell, redistribute or exchange tickets without a license from FIFA or its authorized representative.

The Ministry reminds the public to only purchase World Cup tickets via the official FIFA ticketing platforms only. Anyone who violates this law will be dealt with legal action and fined QR 250,000 with the penalty multiplied by the number of tickets involved.
