During a press conference held by the World Cup Safety and Security Operations Committee, Colonel Jassim Al-Sayed, Executive Director, announced the pre-registration permit procedure for GCC residents and citizens who wish to enter Qatar for the World Cup with their vehicles through the land border at Abu Samra Port.

An online portal has been launched for the application of the pre-registration vehicle permit: https://ehteraz.gov.qa/PER/vehicle/

How to apply for Vehicle Entry Permits

1. Access the service window through the Ministry of Interior website and sign up to obtain a username and password.
2. Log in to https://ehteraz.gov.qa/PER/vehicle/
3. Specify the date of arrival and number of passengers.
4. Enter vehicle data and details of the driver.
5. Upload the attachments (passport, vehicle ownership).
6. Submit for the entry permit approval. If approved, an e-mail will be sent attached with the permit and a link to complete the vehicle insurance procedures, as the vehicle would not be allowed to enter the State of Qatar without insuring it.

Documents to be presented upon arrival at the land border crossing

• Approved Vehicle Permit.
• Vehicle Insurance Policy inside State of Qatar through www.qic-insured.com

General requirements:

• The permit can be used only once. (Not for multiple visits)
• You must enter through the land border crossing only.
