Spain's Alvaro Morata scored the first goal for the team in the 11th minute. At half-time, the score was 1-0 in Spain's favour.
Ritsu Doan of Japan scored the first goal for his team, followed by Japan's Ao Tanaka scoring another goal in the 51st minute.
Japan and Spain both proceed to the Round of 16.
