Hayya card processing time cover

The Peninsula Newspaper reported on 29 August 2022 details of an interview Saeed Al Kuwari, Executive Director of the Hayya platform at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), had with CNBC Arabia TV.

Hayya Card or Fan ID is a mandatory requirement to attend Qatar World Cup matches for local and international attendees. The Hayya Card will provide entry to Qatar (for international ticketholders), entry to the stadiums (with a valid match ticket), access to free public transport from 11 November to 23 December 2022 and smart journey planning (via the Hayya app).

Hayya Card as entry permit for international fans

International fans entering Qatar for the tournament will be receiving a separate entry permit along with their Hayya Card which will allow them to enter Qatar starting from 1 November 2022.

Those with approved International Hayya Cards will be receiving the entry permit to their registered email addresses. The entry permit will be a PDF document which will state the entry and exit dates, along with personal details.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has confirmed that the last date to enter Qatar with a Hayya entry permit will be 23 December 2022 and the last date to exit will be 23 January 2023.

The entry permit will be a requirement for international visitors regardless of purpose and will be the only means to enter from 1 November 2022 till 23 December 2022.

The regulation is also applicable to GCC nationals and GCC residents.

Hayya Card Approval

As per the Saaed Al Kuwari, the Hayya Card approval takes 3 days for fans applying within Qatar and 5 days for international fans.

It was also stated that Hayya Card approvals should come in sooner than the mentioned timeline once the tournament begins.

He also mentioned that Hayya Card applicants may call the dedicated call centre to follow up and inquire if any delays are faced.
