To ensure the smooth flow of traffic in the Corniche during the tournament, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) has outlined the guidelines and regulations to be observed during the World Cup.
As part of transport regulations during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, Corniche Street will be made pedestrian-only starting from 1 November until 19 December 2022.
Scooters, motorbikes, and bicycles are not allowed in Corniche Street, parks specified on the map, and pedestrian-crowded areas during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
Boats and marine vessels are allowed to operate, provided they should be away from the secured area.
The parking areas listed below will be unavailable during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022:
To reach Banana Island during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, use the shuttle bus services from the 'Park and Ride' parking facility in Umm Guwailina to Souq Waqif North Parking. Those arriving at Hamad International Airport can use shuttle bus services from there.
