As per a report released by The Peninsula on April 7, 2022, the official spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), Khaled Al-Nama has denied the rumour about the entry ban to Qatar for residents during the FIFA World Cup 2022™️ and has stated it to be false.

He has further explained while speaking to Qatar TV that:

"The entry and exit of citizens or residents will not be affected by Qatar World Cup 2022.”

This was his answer when he was questioned regarding the restrictions on the entry of citizens and residents into the country during the tournament.

The rumours that were doing the rounds were that residents should avoid travelling after July to ensure that they would be able to return to Qatar. However, this has been denied by the spokesperson as mentioned in the article by The Peninsula, thus putting the public concern to rest.
