The English team had an unexpected and interesting interaction with a cat during their stay in Qatar for the World Cup.
English footballer John Stones told the story of how Dave the cat befriended the English team and became a part of the squad.
As per John, on the first day the team stepped out for dinner at the camp, Dave the cat had just shown up. From that night onwards, the cat waited for dinner with the team.
John also shared warm memories of one night when Dave the cat didn't finish all his food which the team was not happy about.
Many members of the English team had been posting photos of the cat, which caught the attention of the Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS), who, in return, sent a goodie basket with treats for Dave.
Qatar Animal Welfare Society (QAWS) posted on their Instagram on 12 December 2022, that Dave the cat has been adopted by the team and will be going to the UK soon.
