FIFA has officially announced that Costa Rica has qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar after winning against New Zealand on 14 June 2022!

The team was able to secure the last open seat for the qualifying nations for the FIFA World Cup. The team will be joining Spain, Germany, and Japan in Group E and will face Spain as their first match for the World Cup tournament! This is Costa Rica's third consecutive FIFA World Cup tournament.
