Places near al janoub stadium

Al Janoub Stadium, the first FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ stadium to be built is located in Al Wakra municipality. Owing to the pearl diving and fishing past of the area, Al Janoub Stadium's design is inspired by the traditional dhow boats.

Renowned late-architect Zaha Hadid's firm designed the futuristic shape of this 40,000-capacity stadium. The stadium opened on 16 May 2019 with the Amir Cup Final. It also hosted a match in the knockout stage of the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup where Saudi Arabia played Qatar in a semi-final on 5 December 2019.

The stadium is located among many attractions that are worth checking out. The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team is here with a list of places that can be visited near the Al Janoub Stadium.
