On 26 May 2022, in a press conference, Qatar Airways & the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy announced the introduction of the "Match Day Shuttle" flights that will operate during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ for ticket holders from 20 November to 18 December 2022.

What is a Match Day Shuttle flight?

Match Day Shuttle flights are 24-hour experiences for fans attending the World Cup. It will allow a fan to watch & enjoy a match and return to their city of origin within 24 hours.

This eliminates the need for them to book accommodation. Free on-ground transportation from the airport to the stadium will be provided for these fans.

Who is it for?

This service will be available to citizens and residents of the GCC countries.

As per Qatar Airways, fans can enjoy easy check-in, fast-track immigration and convenient stadium connections.

Qatar Airways: Muscat; Dubai
Oman Air: Muscat
Kuwait Airways: Kuwait
flydubai: Dubai
Saudia: Riyadh; Jeddah; Damam
Jazeera Airways: Kuwait
Air Arabia: Sharjah

How much do the tickets cost?

The cost of the tickets varies from airline to airline and may vary at the time of booking.

For example, Qatar Airways mentions that travel from Muscat to Doha is USD 258 in Economy Class or USD 998 in Business Class (prices as of 14 September 2022).

What are some things to remember?

Carry-on bags are only allowed for these flights.
All fans need a Hayya Card to enter Qatar. Click HERE to apply for a Hayya Card.
It is recommended to arrive in Doha at least 4 hours before the match kick-off.
It is the responsibility of the fan to obtain and carry a valid passport, visas, permits, vaccination certificates and other documents.
