The Hayya Card or Fan ID is compulsory for those attending the World Cup tournament and festivities. It also allows fans to use public transportation for free during the tournament.
The Hayya Card comes in digital and physical formats. The digital one can be acquired through the Hayya to Qatar 2022 mobile application. The physical Hayya Card may be acquired by requesting it through your Hayya profile or at one of the Hayya Service Centers.
International fans entering Qatar for the tournament will be receiving a separate entry permit along with their Hayya Card which will allow them to enter Qatar starting from 1 November 2022.
Those with approved International Hayya Cards will be receiving the entry permit to their registered email addresses. The entry permit will be a PDF document which will state the entry and exit dates, along with personal details.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy has confirmed that the last date to enter Qatar with a Hayya entry permit will be 23 December 2022 and the last date to exit will be 23 January 2023.
The entry permit will be a requirement for international visitors regardless of purpose and will be the only means to enter from 1 November 2022 till 23 December 2022.
The regulation is also applicable to GCC nationals and GCC residents.
The ILoveQatar.net (ILQ) team has put together a quick guide to explain the processes and services provided by the Hayya Service Centres.
The Hayya Service Centre caters to World Cup fans and provides face-to-face assistance with their Hayya Card related-queries. The Hayya Service Centre also offers on-the-spot physical Hayya Card printing for free.
There are currently two Hayya Service Centres in Qatar located at Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena (ABHAA) and Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC). Both service centers are open from Saturday to Thursday 10 am to 10 pm, and 2 pm to 10 pm on Fridays.
The Hayya Service Centre at ABHAA will be open until 23 December 2023 while the DECC branch will only open until 18 December 2022, 4 pm.
Upon entering the Hayya Service Centre, staff will receive and guide visitors. They will identify and assess the concern and provide an applicable queue number.
Visitors will be asked to take a seat and wait for their queue number, which will be displayed on the screen, indicating the booth number that will assist them.
Note: You will need to have an approved digital Hayya Card status on the mobile application to be able to process your physical Hayya Card.
The Hayya Card printing takes 2-3 minutes and is completely free.
The physical Hayya Card displays your Hayya profile photo, full name, Qatar ID or Passport number, and nationality. It also comes with a FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 branded lanyard and a clear acrylic card holder to keep your card secure.
The Al Sudan Metro Station (Gold Line) is closest to the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena centre.
The closest metro station is DECC Metro Station (Red Line).
