As part of its fifth anniversary celebrations, Air Arabia is offering its passengers a day of free flights. Passengers travelling to any destination on October 28 on the airlines' network will be entitled to a full credit of the fare and surcharges paid. The offer excludes government and airport taxes, which are to be borne by the passengers.

A resident was caught by the police on Saturday, as he was trying to run away after stealing jewellery worth about QR9,000 from a shop in the Gold Souq. The incident occurred when a firefighting operation was going on near the souq that helped the culprit divert attention of the shopkeepers.
