Literacy rate hits 99%
A recent report released by the Qatar Statistics Authority indicated that literacy rate in the age group of 15 to 24 years reached 99.1 percent in 2007, compared to 96.5 in 1990. The report, part of the report on Qatar's development vision for the 3rd millennium, stated that school dropouts decreased thanks to the efforts of the authorities.
